Join us in our beautiful San Francisco HQ for the second installment of the New Relic FutureTalk Summer Series. For the next few months, we're hosting talks in both San Francisco and Portland, where we'll be examining the code of tomorrow, celebrating and meeting the people who write it, and looking ahead to the future of modern software. You’ll hear from inspiring speakers, meet and mingle with like-minded data nerds, and enjoy tasty treats from local vendors (psst...rumor has it there will be ice cream).
This month's talk comes from none other than Jessica McKellar, known largely for her contributions to the Python Community as Director of the Python Software Foundation. Jessica will be sharing about her experience leading the largest Python user group in the world, running widely praised outreach programs for PyCon, and co-founding Zulip, which was recently acquired by Dropbox.
Stay tuned for more events coming to Portland and San Francisco this summer!
Jessica is an entrepreneur, software engineer, and open source developer from Cambridge, MA. She’s also a Director for the Python Software Foundation and an organizer for the largest Python user group in the world. With that group she runs the Boston Python Workshop—an introductory programming pipeline that has brought hundreds of women into the local Python community.
Doors will open at 6pm. The special networking happy hour will kick off at 6:30p, with food and drinks provided by New Relic. The presentation will begin right at 7pm.
