MySQL remains widely used in the developer community. As technology needs for an organization expand it can become necessary to build on & complement to satisfy needs.  Specifically Ran will discuss the use of MySQL as it pertains to his development of one of the world's top payment/identity fraud prevention systems. Additionally he will break down methods, strategies, and other technologies that others can implement to maximize functionality, performance, and speed with MySQL.

Ran Grushkowsky is an experienced technology executive and a serial entrepreneur who has been working in the technology industry for over 15 years. Ran’s expertise lies in leading the development of complex technological platforms and fraud prevention ecosystems.  Ran began his professional career at the age of 14 when he launched TrueMp3s.com, a website that allowed DJs around the world to upload, download, trade, and stream music online. Since the site received over 3 million unique visitors per month and was the most trafficked electronic music website worldwide. Ran has served as a developer, product manager, and designer of large-scale projects over the last decade. Some projects included building the largest radio station text messaging service in Australia (listeneractive.com) and a social networking site for IBM. Ran co-founded Forex Express Corporation, a payments technology company that brought to the market ATMCash, a successful money remittance company that partnered with KeyBank to send money to over 150 countries worldwide, and WireCash, a platform that provides the top money-remittance companies in the U.S access to the online market. He has also founded several technology companies including: TheDriversLab, OptionsCreme, and he is currently serving on the board of several start-ups. Ran attended UC Berkeley, where he studied Computer Science on a full academic scholarship.
