special guest speaker this month: Alex Iskold - Founder/CEO, AdaptiveBlue AdaptiveBlue is the New York startup focusing on developing Semantic Technologies. Our product Glue: http://getglue.com... is a popular browser addon, that automatically connects people around things they visit online. "In this talk we will discuss our Java-based architecture, built on Amazon Web Services stack ( EC2, S3 and SimpleDB ) and will talk about our semantic algorithms for recognizing objects in HTML pages, links and text." -- And also networking, announcements, door prizes... We'll have announcements and industry updates from members at large. Please feel free to pitch an idea, ask a question, make an announcement and practice your presentation skills with a mini-presentation on the topic of your choosing (time permitting). No theme this month so feel free to prepare slide or code to present on a topic you're an expert in or just learning about. The organizers are always on the lookout for new locations so if you'd like to sponsor a location (that can seat around 60) it be appreciated!
