Following in the footsteps of the NY Times, Betterment recently rewrote their Android App to utilize RxJava.  Join Mike Nakhimovich as he takes you through an intro to Reactive Programming in Android, followed by lessons the BetterAndroid team  learned along the way. Finally tools they built internally to make it all work in a loosely coupled, well tested architecture.

When he's not scouring r/AndroidDev for Android news, Mike Nakhimovich finds himself refining Android development best practices.  He thinks hating on TDD is a fad and hopes to one day  discover a way to make testing Android as simple as backend Java.
