VERY IMPORTANT: Please see changed Date and Location for our May-Meetup
•Short introductory round where everyone introduces oneself
• Three Presentations this time:
1) „digitalTWIN – Digital Tools and Workflow Integration for Building Lifecycles” presented by Felix:
Develop digital tools and methods further in order to bring together and automate services, processes and procedures along the construction value-creation chain.
In DigitalTWIN the aim is that an open platform architecture, more advanced broadband communication systems and computer vision technologies should simplify planning, production and coordination with the building site and provide users with a reliable, flexible and upgradable communication and management infrastructure.
2) Vision Digital Twin - A wide variety of facets of the digital twin in industry presented by Susan Faust and Frank Sauler:
Application examples of the Digital Twins over the entire product life cycle up to complete systems such as the port of Rotterdam to show the variety of terminology.
3) When the smart home goes public by Myriam
The talk gives insight into an ongoing research project, that explores the potential of smart home technologies for the use in a public building. Based on openHAB, an open source platform for home automation, concepts for an energy-efficient and user-oriented use of public buildings are developed and prototypically implemented within the university. The research focusses on the requirements of public institutions as well as on challenges and opportunities that come with smart home technologies, such as wireless sensor networks, at a larger scale.
