Welcome to Microservices, Containers and DevOps Mtl's first Meetup. Our goal for this session is to highlight the power and effectiveness of containerizing applications utilizing industry leading containers, orchestration tools, methodologies and best practices.

Presentation #1: A sophisticated "Service" scenario with Kubernetes.
Automating, scaling and stressing a CI/CD pipeline deployment of a "simple service" application written in 3 different programming languages and interacting with a single HA database.

Rod Guareschi - DevOps Evangelist / Automation and Cloud Infrastructure Specialist with 10+ years of experience managing and automating on-premise and cloud environments. Passionate about container orchestration, CI/CD and helping companies adopt an agile methodology.

Presentation #2: Deep Dive into the enterprise leading managed Kubernetes solution, OpenShift. Highlight the ease of manageability, portability, security and solution's functional differentiation from other enterprise ready or community container platforms.
