Microservices infrastructure provisioning on AWS with Terraform and Kubernetes
Dimitar Nedev (picnic)
Picnic is the world’s fastest growing online supermarket that makes grocery shopping simple, fun, and affordable for everyone. To accelerate development, increase velocity and maintain stability we transitioned our platform to a containerized microservice architecture using AWS and Kubernetes. Our presentation will show you how we provision our infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and Kops, as well as our approach to maintaining stable Kubernetes deployment. We will also share the rationale behind our decisions to help you - our audience, figure out if you can apply the same solutions as us. Come and join us to learn more about the Picnic journey to microservice and hear about what we learned on the way.
AppSync, Amplify and Cognito implementation example
Joris Conijn (Woodwing)
I recently started to rebuild the (Drupal) website for my fathers' hobby, using the latest AWS techniques. In this talk, I'm going to demonstrate the capabilities in an understandable way. How did I do that? How does it work under the hood? And why and when to use AppSync? Those questions will certainly be answered.
