Masterclass: The Art and Business of Film Making

Dec 13, 2019 · Ottawa, Canada

What to expect?

In this session with Emily Ramsay, you will learn the art of filmmaking and how to nourish creative expression for social impact through film production. She will share her journey in the film business, her current role as the Executive Director of one of Ottawa’s largest grassroots film festival, Digi60. You will learn about how Emily was able to transform her passion for filmmaking and film production into a long-term career, as well as crafty ways she’s learned to automate the film production space by adapting to digital tools during production.

Bonus: All participants will be eligible to attend the upcoming Digi60 festival: Winter Edition, to attend film screenings and the afterparty. She will then select about 3 people from her Masterclass session to join her on set of her most recent film project, Vs: Women in Combat Sports.
