March OSIOT Meetup at EclipseCon 2014 SF

The Internet of Things is taking off!

Come join us for the March OSIOT meetup in conjunction with EclipseCon in San Francisco. 


Andy Piper: "The Internet of Things is Made of Signals" 

Andy will talk about MQTT and messaging for the Internet of Things

Marco Carrer: "Eclipse IoT in Action"

Marco will describe the people counter application in use at EclipseCon, built on Eclipse IoT Technology

Michael Koster: "REST APIs for the Internet Of Things"

Michael will give an overview of CoAP and HTTP REST protocols and resource oriented interfaces.

Panel/round table discussion on IoT architecture, protocols, and standards

More about Eclipse and EclipseCon:

Eclipse is an open source community that is rapidly growing a large open source community dedicated to the Internet of Things. There are currently 13 Eclipse open source projects related to IoT, including Eclipse Paho and Mosquitto for MQTT implementations, Eclipse Kura and Mihini for device gateways, Eclipse SmartHome, Eclipse Scada, Californium for CoAP support, etc.

Eclipse is hosting an IoT/ Day on March 19, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport. OS IoT Meetup members are invited to participate and learn more about the Eclipse IoT community. OS IoT members can register for only $140 using coupon code OSIOT140.
