The Need for Speed (Michael Allen, CTO of APM, Compuware)

Feb 12, 2014 · Manchester, United Kingdom

Remember when I promised vendor talks at the last meetup? Well this month we've got Compuware's CTO of APM (Application Performance Management) EMEA, Michael Allen, along for a talk. Not bad, right?

Michael is an excellent speaker so make sure you get yourself along!

In an evolving business world, organisations are focused on delivering fast time-to-value while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Smartphones, tablets, and multiple browsers, coupled with native mobile applications, cloud computing and virtualisation, are amongst the disruptive technologies making it increasingly difficult to manage web and enterprise application performance. These evolving dynamics are creating a new challenge for both enterprises and service providers as their applications are now being delivered across an ecosystem that relies on many supporting business partners. Michael will discuss the best practises and approaches for application performance delivery from the customer perspective, from the first to last mile.

Speaker: Michael Allen (CTO of APM EMEA, Compuware)

Michael Allen has been working in the IT industry for 20 years, the last 16 with Compuware. Michael has held many commercial, technical and leadership management positions at Compuware working within Compuware's Application Performance Management (APM) business unit.  Today he is EMEA Vice President & CTO of APM Solutions at Compuware and regarded as a key visionary in the performance management market.
