Machine Learning 101, Hands on Workshop: Algorithms and Kaggle

Sep 28, 2016 · Torrance, United States of America

Get started making real world models using Python coding language.  We will cover the basic types of machine learning techniques, provide example of real world applications and towards the end of the session, participants can build models together.

Novice and experienced Data Scientists use Kaggle to hone their skills, get help in modifying algorithms, work on real world data sets and....yep.... make some cash!
During this meetup we will get you signed onto to Kaggle to make your first prediction!
LEARNING GOALS
• Understanding the difference between Machine Learning and AI (Artificial Intelligence)
• Steps in Machine Learning
• Algorithm types
• Find out which algorithms to choose based upon your data and the problem you are solving
• How to clean your data....the hard parts finally explained!
• Log into Kaggle and learn how to make your first Kaggle prediction!
• View ways to turn your trained model into a callable API (and monetize your work!)
