A slightly different event to our usual evening Meetups (don't worry, there will be another of them soon) - we're going to spend a day hacking Lucene and Lucene-based search engines (Solr, Elasticsearch....). Bloomberg have very kindly offered us a room for the day in their London headquarters - you'll need to bring a laptop but there will be ample power points and web access.
We don't yet have a plan for what we'll work on - ideas gratefully received though! If you know a JIRA issue that could do with some work or an entirely new feature we could create do let us know in the comments. We'll have several Lucene committers around to guide us and you'll need some Java experience to get fully involved. We'll probably go out for pizza or curry afterwards (would any other company like to sponsor this perhaps?).
Please register with your full name to match photo ID, which you must also bring with you for Bloomberg security. We also need your company name, email and phone number. Alfresco have kindly said they'll sponsor pizza/curry for dinner, please also let me know if you can attend.
