Journalist & science writer Leigh Phillips (Nature, Scientific American, New Scientist, Guardian, Telegraph) joins us for a presentation and discussion about how advancements in technology can enable democratic planning and decision making at vast scales.

Leigh will present key themes from his book with Michal Rozworski: "The People’s Republic of Walmart: How the World’s Biggest Corporations are Laying the Foundation for Socialism" and we'll discuss ways that automation and emerging technologies can be leveraged in government to promote economic equality and social justice.

We are hoping to schedule the meetup for early summer 2022, as soon as we're able to meet safely in person. Thanks for your patience!
