For October’s Leeds Tech Hub, we are focusing on Lean UX, Analytics and Performance. We are excited to announce that Jeff Gothelf, international speaker and author of the O'Reilly book “Lean UX: Applying lean principles to improve user experience” is delivering our keynote presentation. Join us at the Salem Chapel on October 26th for an evening of inspiring presentations, good company and a tipple or two.
Keynote speaker: Jeff Gothelf
For the past 5 years Jeff Gothelf has led the charge in rethinking the way user experience design happens in an increasingly agile world. From the groundbreaking “Lean UX: Getting out of the deliverables business” article that launched the conversation in 2011 to the Lean UX book to workshops, consulting and talks around the world Jeff has had a front seat to this ever-growing conversation. In this concise talk, Jeff takes a look at what he’s learned in the past 5 years, how his own thinking has evolved and what the future of great team collaboration and product development looks like.
Digital Analytics for Agile: Continuous Performance Optimisation, Jonny Longden, Head of Analytics and Optimisation, Sky
Whilst the majority of digital development work has become agile, insight work is often still trapped in centralised teams, leading the agile teams to feel alienated from and uninvolved in the processes of decision making which drive their work. On the flip side, insight teams produce recommendations which, too frequently, are left un-actioned because the processes don’t exist to absorb this work into the teams. How can analytics become truly embedded in agile so that performance improvement is both data driven and firmly owned by the agile team? Learn from Jonny Longden, Head of Analytics & Optimisation, about the ways in which Sky are transforming culture and structure to make this a reality.
