Learn Ruby by Working through Ruby Koans

May 13 - 14, 2017 · Palo Alto, United States of America

Ruby Koans

The goal is to learn the Ruby language, syntax, structure, and some common functions and libraries. We also teach you culture. Testing is not just something we pay lip service to, but something we live. It is essential in your quest to learn and do great things in the language.

Bring your laptop and follow along each exercise to learn about Ruby in a practical way.

1) Install Ruby

2) Download Ruby Koans

This will take 5 hours to complete. The goal is to provide you guidance during this meetup so that you have enough momentum to continue working on your own when you get back home.

If you have already attended this session, continue working on remaining Koans and get help from other developers.

Parking

Kids are running around every where here, so parking is a challenge. Come early to wait few minutes for someone to leave and grab a spot or park across the street (residential street parking).

Library Reservation

At least two people are required to be there on time. If we are late, the library will cancel the reservation.

Staying on Topic

This is a Ruby meetup. Please take any discussion about your startups or other unrelated topics to meetups that are related to those topics. Let's not waste people's time.

Looking for speakers.

Contact the organizer if you would like to speak at the next meetup.
