Are you a functional programmer looking to improve your skills in languages like Clojure, Scala, Lisp, Racket, Erlang, Haskell, or F#?
If so, then Lambda Jam Chicago is a conference that can take your skills to the next level. By functional programmers for functional programmers, this is not your traditional conference of sitting and listening – a significant portion of each day will be devoted to hands-on practice (jams) or workshops. We aim to stretch your skills and teach you something new!
Spend the morning in sessions, have lunch with the experts and in the afternoon choose between jams and workshops.
Keynoting are Rich Hickey, creator of Clojure; Erik Meijer, LINQ, Rx and Haskell guru; and Andrew Sorensen, creator of Impromptu.
The cast for talks and workshops include Reid Draper, Brian McKenna, Gershom Bazerman, Doug Rohrer, Katherine Ye, Ryan Senior, Tomas Petricek, Omar Rizwan, John Wiegly, Jason Hemann, Dan Friedman, Alex Miller. (That's Day 1!)
Day 2 includes Dean Wampler, Edward Kmett, Jessica Kerr, Fergal Byrne, Susan Potter, Carlos Marin, Eric Smith, Martin Logan, Curt Nichols, Tony Morris, Mathias Brandewinder, Daniel Solano Gómez
If you’re new to functional programming (WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?) seriously come and stretch your brain, improve your skills or even discover a new passion.
