• Matt Turner, Kanban on the Mean Streets.
• Tear down - please help us to clear up at the end
Life’s a blast, this Digital and/or Agile Transformation is the life, the mood is high, the sponsors are engaged and the budget is available…it’s like Midtown Manhattan, London’s West End, it’s party central and the good times are rollin’. Software Delivery is where it is at. Hold up though, look over there where the smoke billows and the fires flicker, where’s that? It’s Brixton, the Bronx where IT & Business Operations live, scratching a living and fighting over turf. Hey this Transformation ain’t gonna work without them, we’re flying high but we’ve left them behind and we’ve only got loose change left, gulp….dare we brave The Mean Streets.
Matt has been in IT Operations for over 20 years experiencing the good and bad of frameworks, best practices and emergent management styles. Having the benefit of a nomadic career, in internal roles and latterly as a Hapus.net consultant, for many & varied organisations in this hotbed of innovation and industry we call the North. He has been fortunate to accompany some very enlightened travellers along the way and has been lucky enough to land in some very constrictive cultures, for these are the mothers of invention and resourcefulness. Having lived through some interesting, testing and exciting times, learning and honing skills all the while, Pilgrim, he’d like to share some stories and techniques with you. Not least how to rock up with just a couple of dry sticks, a heart full of love and a message; set a fire and watch a culture change.
Doors open at 6.30pm with the talks starting at 7pm.
