June NY Enterprise Info Security Meetup

Jun 12, 2018 · New York, United States of America

Agenda:

"3 IAM Examples to Support Digital Transformation"

Companies that have traditionally viewed IAM as a function of IT — limited to things like user provisioning, Single Sign On and password management — are now coming to terms with the much larger role identity plays, both as a risk and differentiator. Carlos will walk through 3 Identity Access Management (IAM) architecture examples and discuss the specific pros and cons of each in supporting digital transformation efforts.

Speaker Bio:
Carlos Mostek is a Solution Architect for Auth0. Carlos has more than 18 years experience working in software development and security . Previous to his time at Auth0, he held engineering and leadership roles at Cray, Thompson Reuters, and BAE Systems.

"Virtualization is the Future of Security"

Traditional AV vendors see virtualization and cloud architectures as impediments to effective security. At Bitdefender, virtualization has opened the door to a new, more secure world.

Mike Gable is an accomplished Cybersecurity professional who helped establish Trend Micro as a player in the Data Center market and developed messaging and Go-To-Market Strategy for rising vendors.

Mike has mastered several customer-facing disciplines, having built and run Professional Services, Pre-Sales, Inside Sales, and Major Account Sales teams.

He has spent time in leadership positions with industry giants Ivanti and Trend Micro; growth-oriented vendors like Malwarebytes, AppSense and CloudPassage; as well as some pre-revenue Cybersecurity startups. He is passionate about success and enjoys solving messy, complicated problems.

Mike has the mind of a financial analyst, the heart of a techie, and the soul of a salesman—and he is equally at home in all three worlds.

Mike is a native Spanish speaker and lives in Atlanta with his wife Sharon. They enjoy traveling and spending time on the beach whenever possible.
