I will be explaining an intro on how to get started with react and Facebook code. Tools that are available as well as yeoman. Why its not always the best approach to use generated systems for react components.

JQuery has been a great tool for helping us to manipulate the DOM. However when using web frameworks like React things can get a bit akward. Both JQuery and your web framework are expecting to be the only ones manipulating the DOM. Let’s look at some strategies for getting rid of the akwardness and finally removing JQuery from your life - may he rest in peace :)

    JavaScript has become one of the most popular and widely used programming language in the world. In a large part, this is due to the amazing community and eco-system around the language. Jozi.JS exists to try and foster a community in Johannesburg, a meetup group dedicated to all things JavaScript!  The group meets on the third Thursday of the month from 18:30 to about 20:30.
