January Tech Talks

Jan 25, 2018 · Toronto, Canada

Happy 2018 Alchemists!

Join us for our January edition of the Elixir Tech Talks.

This month we will be focusing on concurrency related things!

First on stage Luke Galea (@lukegalea (https://github.com/lukegalea)) with his talk "Flow for fun and profit".

Shortly after Tyler Pachal (@tylerpachal (https://github.com/tylerpachal)) will share his knowledge about Actors in Elixir.

Last but not least, Erik Petersen (@erikp33 (https://github.com/erikp33)) will give a talk on the new DynamicSupervisor module in Elixir 1.6.

The great folks at PagerDuty are graciously hosting us again (thanks again Tyler!). They will also be providing some pizza and beer for our group. Doors open just after 6pm and will be taking place around the kitchen area. Talks will start around 7pm.

PagerDuty (https://www.pagerduty.com/) is the enterprise incident resolution service that integrates with ITOps and DevOps monitoring stacks to improve operational reliability and agility. From enriching and aggregating events to correlating them into incidents, PagerDuty streamlines the incident management process by reducing alert noise and resolution times.
