Sander van Harmelen - Mission Critical Developer @ Schuberg Philis - Coding for Hashicorp

Sander will give a short overview of history on how he came about to code for Hashicorp, and why being #2 committer for Hashicorp is fun, and sometimes NOT ;-).

Bio: Sander van Harmelen has been with Schuberg Philis since June 2008 and is one of the big drivers when it comes to automating IT environments. He is the #3 committer on Terraform when it comes to lines of code. You can find his online bio here: https://github.com/svanharmelen and https://nl.linkedin.com/in/sander-van-harmelen-600ab09

Carlos Leon - Software Engineer @ Container Solutions - Define your infrastructure as code

GUIs are good for creating your servers, network stacks, security policies, DNS rules, etc. but makes things difficult to maintain and scale, specially when your infrastructure is distributed amongst different providers. It's time to use code to keep your whole infrastructure DRY and version controlled with Terraform.

Bio: Carlos Leon is a Colombian nerd working in tech for 6 years. He works as a software engineer at Container Solutions writing systems to automate the provisioning, orchestration and scaling of bare metal and virtual infrastructures. He’s passionate about free flight (hang gliding), dreadlocks, clean code and life in general. In love with Amsterdam (where he currently lives). Online bio: https://www.linkedin.com/in/mongrelion

Jeroen de Korte - Mission Critical Engineer @ Schuberg Philis - Short overview on our use of Terraform, Vault, Gitlab (demo included)

At Schuberg Philis we are using quite some tools from the Hashicorp set. Jeroen will explain where we use them, how we use them along with some demo's.

Bio: Jeroen de Korte is an engineer at Schuberg Philis since April 2011. Jeroen works for different teams within Schuberg Philis and has a strong focus on building on our internal SaaS tools. https://nl.linkedin.com/in/jeroen-de-korte-7077855 and https://github.com/jeroendekorte
