IoTNorth are pleased to present Sander van de Velde on how to integrate LorWan devices with Azure IoT
Abstract:
IoT is all about integration. We integrate devices, business logic, enterprise facing solutions, etc. This includes third-party platforms too.
Devices implementing the LoRaWan protocol are becoming popular because of their low power and long-distance communication abilities. These devices drop their messages on separate (cloud) platforms. From there, the telemetry has to flow into your cloud solution, preferably using a 'push' strategy.
One of the major world-wide LoRaWan cloud providers is The Things Network. They have a long-standing relationship with Microsoft already.
In this presentation, infused with demos, we take a good look at the brand new full Azure IoT Hub integration. This way, both telemetry (uplink) and commands (downlink) are supported. We also see how devices are registered and managed at a central location.
After the presentation, the attendees will be able to start with LoraWan and this integration themselves.
