As promised we will start focus more on the other 2 products in our user group: PowerApps and Microsoft Flow. This month’s meetup we are happy to have a Microsoft PowerApps development team member to introduce PowerApps and give us a high-level overview of how the 3 products can work together over the Common Data Services (CDS) which is promoting the new concept of "Citizen Developer Platform".
In this meetup as well, we are happy to have a user group member to demo a use case from his workplace on how he used PowerApps to take action from Power BI.

The presentation will cover the strategy around the PowerApps and describe some of the key concepts around it and how that fits with the Power BI and MS Flow.

Send Emails in Power BI using PowerApps PowerApps at its core is a Platform as a Service. It allows you to create Mobile Apps that run on Android, iOS, Windows (Modern Apps) – and with almost any Internet browser. In PowerBi Web service, using the PowerApps custom visual, allow to pass report context to a PowerApps app which updates in real time along with the report. Now, users can derive business insights and take actions from their Power BI reports and dashboards such as sending emails order product etc. The session will include a short description on PowerApps and step by step technique of sending email from power BI report page through PowerApps.
Milos Glisic is a Principal Software Engineering Manager at Microsoft, heading up a team working on PowerApps Controls. Before MS, he worked for Datazen, a Toronto company which built an end-to-end system for designing and sharing self-service mobile-friendly BI dashboards.
Ziauddin Ahmed is a Bi developer working at Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care as a Senior Programmer Analyst. He is skilled in Data analysis activities required for creating reports and dashboards. He has completed Software Engineering Diploma from Centennial College. He is also working in Techno Canada Center of Excellence as a Data Analyst Instructor. Ziauddin has a good knowledge and experience in various programming language (R, C#, Java, PL/SQL, Java Script, Html and CSS) and software testing. Ziauddin achieved his Masters in Public Health and Digital Health Promotion. Additionally, He has some publications in national and international journals and presented papers in public health conferences. He is more than capable to deal with critical situations thanks to his communications skills and readiness to be a team player.
