Intro to Functional Programming (Part 2)

Dec 1, 2015 · Herzliya, Israel

After we spent the previous session getting familiar with FP concepts (we also got our hands "dirty" with some Clojure code), we want to progress further. This meetup will revolve around modelling and building a simple web app. We'll start small and show how FP principles lend themselves to our solution.
In order to make it fruitful, please come prepared with the following:
1. Leiningen installed
2. An editor for Clojure (options include IntelliJ with Cursive / Emacs with Cider / Vim with Fireplace etc.)
3. A working wifi connection and a mercurial client in order to clone our repository

Looking forward to seeing you!

Our analytics dashboard is the face of our product, our mobile SDK sends over 25 billion requests to our server each day, these requests are being handled and streamed to our databases live, and our entire landscape requires 100% uptime. In order to do so, our team uses cutting-edge technologies, frameworks, and landscapes such as ReactJS (Redux, and MobX), ECMAScript 2015 (ES6), Node.js, Webpack, Clojure, Spark, Druid, MemSQL, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Rabi
