Internet Specialist Group - Practical steps to a realistic hybrid cloud: creating a platform for now and the future

May 10, 2018 · London, United Kingdom

Speaker;

Clive Longbottom is founder and research director of industry analyst company, Quocirca. Clive began his analyst career with META Group before founding Quocirca to offer a new kind of industry analysis. He has seen the 'sharp end' of IT, and understands that technology has to be used to support an organisation's aim, not as an end into itself.

A move to a cloud computing platform will be the biggest technical challenge for many organisations in their history. Getting it right requires staff who have a solid understanding of the intricacies of designing and provisioning a suitable platform. This has to be looked at as not just for the immediate future, but also for the mid- and longer-term as well. This talk will look what cloud is promising now, and practical steps towards hybrid cloud adoption. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of how to use cloud to deliver the best outcome for their organisations.
