Imperial War Museum – Acuity Design 2014
A 1 hour talk about how both user experience and information architecture work when designing for touch not vision. Using practical project examples, including the 2014 Imperial War Museum gallery refit, and knowledge from applied user research, Alastair Somerville will take you through the process of designing for people with impaired or no sight.

The UX of Touch matters for designers interested in accessibility and alternative modes of communication, museum professionals looking to improve access on their own sites and anyone interested in sensory and multimodal design.
Alastair Somerville is an Accessible Communication Consultant and specialises in tactile and haptic design.
