The main purpose for this second UX for Change event is to support Charities Aid Foundation's mission on becoming digital as they redefine their user experience, with a keen interest on how to bring the charities they host to the heart of everything. They would like to look into how they can tell a more emotional story, in contrast to the current purely transactional experience that they provide.
The main speaker of the night will be Chris Allwood, Lead of Product Development at CAF. CAF is a 90 year old charity committed to finding the most effective and efficient ways to connect donors to the cause that matters most to them and for money to get where it’s needed.
Be ready to get hands-on by helping propose different approaches to the challenge of embedding emotional design into their website.
Everyone will be divided into teams and each team will be encouraged to create a prototype to communicate their approach/solution to the challenge.
At the end of the night everyone will get to vote on their favourite paper prototype and the team with the most votes will win one Full-Day Axure Prototyping Workshop on August 14th ticket (worth £420). Second and third place will take home Axure goody bags (t-shirts, chopsticks, notebooks and more…)
After the event, everyone will have one week to finish their own individual Axure prototype and submit it to the panel for a chance to win your very own Axure RP PRO License (worth $589).
Need a good reason to get involved? Here is some food for thought from The Guardian - Online donations 'not relevant' for a quarter of charities, says report.
I'm really looking forward this event and I hope to see you all there.
