Do you have a family history collection at home?
A significant amount of Australia’s cultural heritage is held by private individuals, families and community groups. Drawing on her experience in archival conservation, Ainslee will discuss different approaches you can take to preserve your family history collection at home, from safe storage to disaster recovery. The talk will cover caring for paper and photographic materials, artworks, objects and digital collections.
Ainslee Meredith is a Local History Technician at the Stonnington History Centre and a Research Assistant with Grimwade Conservation Services. She is completing her PhD in cultural materials conservation at the University of Melbourne and has previously worked with national, state and community archives.
