Have You Seen Spring Lately?

Jan 22, 2014 · Oakland, United States of America

A lot's happened in the last year! We on the Spring team became part of Pivotal where we - as part of a concerted platform that includes RabbitMQ, Hadoop, Cloud Foundry, Redis, Grails and a slew of other great technologies - are helping to "deliver data at the speed of business."

What does this mean for you? It means that Spring now delivers even broader, better solutions for the challenges facing developers today. 2013 was a big year for us, and we're only just getting started! Some of the highlights from 2013 include:

• Spring 4: the game-changing evolution of the most widely used framework in the business featuring websocket support, Java EE 7 support, conditional configuration, and far more

• Spring Boot: the best-of-breed, convention-over-configuration-centric framework that's turning heads

• Spring XD: our next-generation data-integration solution and runtime that builds on top or works with Spring Data, Spring Batch, Spring Integration and Hadoop

To learn all about these technologies (and a lot more!), join me (Spring Developer advocate Josh Long) for a few hours and we'll take a look at the latest-n-greatest (as well as what's coming) and answer questions.
