Hacker News Seattle Meetup 2

Sep 6, 2011 · Seattle, United States of America

Due to the SEOmoz offices only being so big, we've had to close RSVPs. If you realize you said you were coming and realize you can't, please un-RSVP so someone else can grab your spot. If you want to come to the next one, join the group and you'll be the first to find out about the 3rd event. If you have any questions, feel free to email me: [masked]

The second Hacker News Seattle Meetup! The first meetup was a huge success: we had over 70 people show up over the course of the evening.

A few things are different (and better!) this time: Rand Fishkin, from SEOmoz, offered up his office to host the event this month. I checked out the space and it's pretty awesome, should be a lot nicer than Cafe Vita. They're also providing snacks and beer. :)

The second major change is that we're going to have a speaker. Marcelo Calbucci, Co-founder & CTO of EveryMove and the founder of Seattle 2.0, will be speaking for 10-15 minutes early on in the evening. He'll be talking about the "State of Tech Startups in Seattle." This should be a lot of fun, so RSVP and I look forward to seeing everyone in September!
