hack/reduce & Boston Big Data go BIG and go BALD for Child Cancer Research

Jul 25, 2013 · Cambridge, United States of America

Support St. Baldrick's @ hack/reduce:
A head shaving event in support of pediatric cancer research.
This year, the Boston Big Data Community is teaming up with hack/reduce to rise up in support and awareness for the St. Baldrick's Foundation as we continue the battle against childhood cancer.
On behalf of the Foundation and the children we serve, we would sincerely value your sponsorship at our July 25, 2013 event to be held at hack/reduce, 275 3rd St, Cambridge, MA. We invite you to join this event and learn how the St. Baldrick's Foundation, with your support, is making an impact.
St. Baldrick's events have raised approximately $149 million, providing research grants to doctors and scientists at more than 200 institutions to pursue the most promising new cures for childhood cancer, in addition to making clinical trials available to more children than ever.
Since 2000, St. Baldrick's has hosted more than 5,500 head-shaving events, shaving more than 243,000 heads in 28 countries and all 50 U.S. states. Last year, Boston Big Data was able to raise $55,000 for this cause. Join us as an individual or team up to help us meet our goal for 2013 of $75,000.
Please let me know if you can help support such a great cause.
