A one-day course covering the identification of grasses and flowers.
A one-day course aimed at improving attendees’ skill and confidence with identifying the main species of grasses and flowers found in semi-improved and unimproved grassland habitats. The morning will be spent introducing easy ways to recognise and learn these plants, with an opportunity in the afternoon to practise and improve on survey techniques, including walkover surveys and quadrat sampling.
There will also be a chance to look at the use of these plants as indicator species and as an aid to carrying out habitat classification and assessment.
