Talk 1: Playing unsafe with slices and strings
Slices are the core part of Go. Lets make sure everyone understand how they exactly work. We will visit packages unsafe and runtime, to get a deeper insight, how slices are implemented. We will compare various idioms and talk about their performance and gotchas. Finally, we will also talk about strings, because they are very similar to slices (but not quite the same!).
