Whether you’re fixing someone’s taps, installing a air conditioner or developing the next app to change the world, you’ve all got one thing in common – being self-employed.
While it’s exhilarating to be able to follow your passion, working for yourself also means needing to understand the essentials of running a business; how to charge customers, finding the right business licences and registrations, protecting your IP, leasing business premises etc.
The Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC) has been around for more than thirty years, helping thousands of budding entrepreneurs just like you across hundreds of industries to start and grow their businesses. Join us at this introductory session to find out more about the impartial, practical advice (and it’s all free) our experienced business advisers can provide. While there is a wealth of start-up information available online, sometimes you really need a face-to-face conversation with someone to help you navigate the way.
Grab yourself a coffee and come and watch an interesting presentation and talk to some interesting people from in and around the startup scene.
