In this meetup, we will have Sam Witteveen, a Google Developer Expert for Machine Learning to talk about "The State of Generative Modelling".

Sam Witteveen is a Google Developer Expert for Machine Learning. He has extensive experience in AI, startups, and mobile applications. As a researcher, he is especially passionate about Deep Learning and AI in the fields of Natural Language Processing, Conversational AI, and Generative Modelling and has had papers at conferences such as NeurIPS, EMNLP & NACCL. Sam regularly shares his knowledge at events and conferences across the world and has spoken at events such as AI Day Asia, TensorFlow World, Naver’s Startup Factory, and other events for Google in Korea, San Francisco & New York. As of 2020 Sam also became a key mentor for Google’s startup accelerator in both the APAC and North America regions.

In his talk, Sam will cover some of the presentations and papers covering the current state of Generative Modelling, including new GAN techniques, Diffusion approaches, MultiModal models, and other interesting forms of generative modelling.
