Think Like A Pop Icon & Reinvent Yourself!
It’s 2015, and you’re determined that this is going to be your year! You’re acquiring the skills you need to start a new career, but you’re still thinking like your old self. Why not really try something new this year?
Tuesday, February 17th, Geek Girls Carrots’ Hesper Hobsburhg will be a guest speaker for Hack The People. This is a fantastic opportunity for supporters of each organization to come together and expand their network within Seattle’s tech community. More importantly, it’s an opportunity to learn about the power of reinvention.
Listen to Hesper discuss Modern Day Machiavellianism: Reinventing Yourself In The Digital Age, and learn why it takes more than new skills to go after a new life. This talk is part of Hack The People’s new initiative, dedicated to fostering unique and open discussions between tech industry mentors and mentees.
Date - Tuesday, February 17th, 2015
Location: Madrona Ventures, 999 3rd Ave., 34th Floor, Seattle, WA 98104

Guest Speaker - Hesper Hobsburhg, Modern Day Machiavellianism: Reinventing Yourself In The Digital Age
Hesper Hobsburhg is an ambitious and opportunistic Millennial who believes that knowledge is always in vogue, and style is a global language. When not adamant about making the tech industry more approachable and palatable to young women typically lost to the ‘glamour industries,’ she is a Synergy Strategist, former Consultant and longtime Creative Professional. Currently, she works for the social enterprise Geek Girls Carrots (GGC) as a Co-Organizer for the Seattle office, and head of Logistics & Development for North America.
In addition to spreading GGC’s message and mission that the only thing standing between a woman and technology is herself, Hesper is establishing a new career in a burgeoning field—one so new, it doesn’t fully exist yet: The merging of the style industry and technology. In the coming months, she will be launching her website Hespers9.com, which will explore this developing industry, as well as offer a unique behind the scenes look at the trials and tribulations of starting a new chapter in one’s professional and personal life.
