Getting started with Entity Framework Core

With the cross-platform version of .Net, Microsoft has had to rewrite many of the core components that we have come to depend on. If you include data in your applications, chances are you have used Entity Framework in the past. In this session, you'll learn how to get started using EF Core and how to handle the changes in this version.

Our speaker for tonight is Jim Wooley. By day, Jim is a Solution Architect for Slalom Consulting and in his "free time", Jim is an MVP, frequent speaker and author of "LINQ in Action". He is always striving to stay at the forefront of technology and enjoys the thrill of a new challenge.

Jim has been active evangelizing LINQ since its announcement in 2005. In addition, he attempts to pass on the insights he has gained by being active in the community, including organizing and speaking at code camps and regional events, including MIX, VS Live, CodeMash, KCDC, That Conference, DevWeek, and CodeStock.
