Insight Delight is the experience of discovery and learning that happens when we connect ideas together during data analysis. It is a powerful Eureka! moment when researchers get from data chaos to findings clarity.
This session will show how creating experiences of Insight Delight for Product Owners and Stakeholders opens up new ways to unlock a shared user-centered perspective. This pushes back against slide decks as the standard communication tool user research reporting.
I’ll share some examples of my experiments with Insight Delight that began after too many cases when high quality research failed to make an impact. These experiments activate visual communication and storytelling to invite people outside the UX practice to connect with user experiences. I will also include some strategies that outline how you can grow Insight Delight in your own UXD work.

Abs King, Ph.D., is a researcher and experience design consultant focusing on smart and connected products at Industry X.0, part of Accenture Digital. She is an innovator of visual collaboration practices and qualitative data analysis strategies. Her work bridges academic and Agile approaches to define research practices that drive user-center product development.
