Welcome to an evening where we have the pleasure of welcoming three local start-ups on stage. No Isolation, Convertelligence and reMarkable will share hard earned insights with us on how to dream up, build and launch game changing products and services. All from an UX perspective of course.
No Isolation: AV1 - a robot's quest to end isolation
Oda Sofie Dahl Eide and Simon Oliver Ommundsen
AV1 is the cute avatar robot that help children with long term illness to stay connected with their friends and keep up with school. We will talk about how the robot came to be, and how user centred design is at the core of our business and design processes.
Oda Sofie has been working with the team since the very beginning; testing and improving AV1, trying to create the best user experience possible. Besides work, she is a master student in Interaction design at the University of Oslo, specializing in Tangible Interactions.
Simon Oliver recently joined the team, working on new versions of AV1, as well as the new product directed towards seniors. He is finishing his master's degree in Information Systems at the University of Oslo
Convertelligence: Natural language with machines, how to solve UX-related challenges?
Arash Saidi, CTO
Language technology is an exciting field in rapid development, but its hard to make robust solutions without the use of Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing. A key point is that companies should make better use of their current language datasets, such as historical chat data with customers. But how can you offer great tools for automated dialogue, when the customer doesn’t have enough data or relevant datasets? A good UX experience is without doubt important, but where do you start? We will demonstrate our ideas so far.
reMarkable: Better paper. Better thinking.
- The tech world is talking about artificial intelligence - what happened to the human intelligence. With ReMarkable we seek to redefine one off the basic forms of expression and exploration - thinking with pen and paper.
