File > New > Real World Project and F1 development
Creating an app, compiling it and then submitting to the store can be done manually for a small, simple project. But what if you want things a bit more structured and automated?
In this session, we'll take a walk through setting up something a bit more robust: a complete app that includes: version control; automated builds; testing; analytics; and deployment.
Whether you need to do this for a work project or just make your personal apps a bit more professional this meeting will show you how.
If that wasn't enough we'll be hearing what it's like developing software in the glamorous world of Formula 1 racing:
Chris is a Software Engineer for McLaren Racing. After a brief introduction to McLaren's history and other activities outside F1, we will take a look at how an F1 team is structured; how software development fits into the team; what software developers do during a race weekend; and how we have modified our software development practices to fit into the fast-paced, rapidly changing world of Formula 1.
Arrive from 6 for a 6:30 start.
Because we don't want you to get too hungry or thirsty if coming straight from work we'll also be providing some food and drink. Registering in advance helps us order the right amount and is an opportunity for you to tell us about any allergies, etc.
