FAKE It To Make It

Russ Cam and his colleagues at Elastic, the company behind the Elastic stack including Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana and Beats, use functional tools extensively for build automation of the Elasticsearch .Net client, as well as Windows MSI installers. The tools are called Paket and Fake and they're written in F#. Other companies such as GitHub are also using them. 


This is a great chance to take look Paket and Fake, how they fit into Elastic's workflow, and also, to evaluate if they deserve a place on your developer utility belt.
