Exploring Agility: The 59 Minute Scrum

Nov 4, 2008 · Raleigh, United States of America

Everyone is talking about the agile methods for software and you've probably sat in on a presentation or two about them. The leading method is something called SCRUM. Well, talking about them is one thing, but truly experiencing the methods from the inside of an agile team is another, much more powerful perspective. In this presentation, Bob Galen, a local Agile Coach and Scrum Practitioner, will facilitate your participation in a 60 minute simulation of Scrum. We'll begin the session with a short overview of Scrum for about 20 minutes. Then we'll break you out into teams where you'll get your hands dirty a bit. We'll give you a project and see how you do. We'll firmly time box this part to 60 minutes. Then we'll wrap-up with a short debrief. If you're interested in experiencing SCRUM, come prepared to participate and get some work done.
