Ethereum Build Night

Jun 27, 2018 · Detroit, United States of America

Ethereum build nights are meetups for software developers wanting to get their hands dirty building applications and tools related to Ethereum. This group is primarily for people with programing experience, but anyone interested in learning about developing applications for Ethereum or looking for people to help them create their ideas is welcome to attend. Even if you just want to hang out with some passionate, nerdy programmers, you are welcome!

The structure of our meetings is very loose -- attendees can decide what they want to do. The goal is that developers will come with ideas for small projects and find like minded peers to start building stuff. We will teach each other about developing web applications for Ethereum and help each other through any road blocks. Experienced Ethereum developers will be available to help other devs learn the basics as well as the intricacies of the platform.

We will be meeting every other Wednesday, starting April 4th, at Red Door Digital in Detroit, 7500 Oakland Ave, Detroit, MI 48211.

Meetings will start around 7pm and go as long as people want. The Detroit Blockchainers also meet at the same place at the same time. We are hoping that joining forces with them will help spread the word more quickly and foster a collaborative environment.

There are a lot of meetups that like to talk about the potential of blockchain technology or other high level aspects of this emerging domain, but virtually none of them focus on building stuff. This is our attempt to change that. We want to build the future, not just talk about how great it is going to be.

...and because building projects is always more fun with other people.
