The mission of this workshop is to understand and embrace the concepts of Gamification thinking & design, to incorporate engagement, fun, mastery and autonomy for your players in- and outside of your organization by using the tools & techniques for Enterprise Gamification.
Gamification is the use of game design techniques & mechanics to solve problems and engage audiences. Gamification strives to encourage users to engage in desired behaviors in connection with non-game applications.
The two-day workshop consists of two parts: a full day practical workshop on the concepts of enterprise gamification, and a full day hands-on programming workshop with multiple gamification platforms.

Participants will be introduced to the three leading enterprise gamification platforms Badgeville, beingtoo and Bunchball. Experts from the platform providers will show coding examples, APIs and demonstrate how to integrate achievement tracking, leaderboards, badges etc. with your own applications or processes.
At the end of the day (from 3:00-4:00pm) participants have a chance to demo their prototypes to the other attendees and the experts to get inspiration and feedback.Requirements
For the first day (Gamification Workshop) there are no requirements. If you have a concrete application, process or activity in mind that you want to gamify, you are very welcome to use that example during the workshop. Many other examples will be provided.For the second day (Gamification Hands-on Programming) you need to have attended the first day (Gamification Workshop), and if possible also bring your laptop with your development environment and access to your application or process. We will help you get you setup so that at the end of the day you created a gamified prototype of your application or process. If you do not have a laptop with you, or are not a developer, you are still very welcome to join and work with others on their prototype in a team effort.
Catering for breakfast, lunch, snacks and coffee-breaks will be provided. During the workshop be aware of low-flying Angry Birds plush toys. We cannot guarantee that you leave the workshop without one.
