Come and chat! This is an open Q & A with project managers (PM). The goal is an open exchange between folks who are PMs, folks who are considering working as PM, and folks who interact with PMs.

Beth Singley, Red Hat Program Manager
Beth Singley has been managing IT projects in every type of company from 15-person startups with big dreams to large corporations like WebMD and now to the open source giant Red Hat. Beth has also taken on a leadership role at Durham Women in Technology and is working to build the organization through practical mentoring for Durham women in the field. Her specialities are in cross functional communication and getting things done.
Carolyn Barry, Smashing Boxes Director of Product
Carolyn Barry has been managing digital projects for 5 years, and has worked with local clients like Duke University and the YMCA, as well as national clients including the EPA. Carolynstudied public relations at Appalachian State before getting a Masters in Interactive Media from Elon University. Her favorite part of project management is defining product requirements that enable teams to do their best work.
Daryl Riethof, Caktus Group Senior Project Manager
At Caktus, Daryl has worked with clients such as Discovery Communications, the Libyan High National Election Commission, Duke and UNC.
Daryl came to Caktus with over 10 years of experience working at interactive advertising agencies in New York and San Francisco. She has worked in both an account and project management capacity for clients such as Starwood Hotels, L'Oreal, Electronic Arts, TRESemme, Genentech, Novartis, Amgen and Merck.
