Last time we talked about having a meeting with short presentations of distributed databases. Let's do that.
I suggest the following format, if you want to present please let me know in the comments and I'll make a speaking list:
The presentations will be five minutes, five slides, 140 chars per slide (but any number of different coloured pixels).
The topic will be post-relational/NoSQL databases, distributed systems frameworks, or other infrastructure tools for building distributed systems, like message queues, or even a cloud computing platform. Think products, not theories (but let's do a theory session another time).
You must have some first hand experience of the product, and your experience is more interesting than the details of the product. You don't have to be an expert.
A couple of must-have-topics: Cassandra, MongoDB, Storm, Hadoop.
This time we'll be at Squeed's offices. I haven't worked out the details about food and beer yet (sponsors are welcome, but otherwise Burt or Squeed will probably provide food and drinks).
