Girl Geek Dinners is very excited to announce a dinner which we had been planning for a long time. Dinner with SEEK. SEEK is consistently rated amongst one of the best places to work and now our members have a chance to interact with SEEK employees and get to know more about the company and its culture.

Visit the SEEK Melbourne office, interact with its employees, have dinner and network with like minded people. Join us at the SEEK office, meet interesting people, and participate in a discussion about "Embracing diversity: Stories and strategies to thrive" 

Agenda:

5:45 - 6:10 Registration 

6:15 - 6:45 Office tour 

6:45 - 7:15 Dinner and drinks 

7:15 - 8:30 Speaker presentation followed by panel discussion - " Embracing diversity: Stories and strategies to thrive"

8:30 - 9:00 Networking

Four speakers will be sharing their personal stories of overcoming challenges, their strategies for thriving in dynamic workplaces.

Anna Kelk (Product manager, SEEK)

Anna Kelk is a product manager at SEEK. Alongside a passionate team,

she helps candidates discover, explore and connect with career opportunities.

Anna has lived in Australia, the UK and SE Asia working for digital start-up’s and larger organisations.

Jo Cranford  (Development team lead, Culture Amp)

Jo is a Lead Developer at Culture Amp, an all-in-one people feedback and analytics platform. Although Jo has been a Senior Business Analyst and Product Planner, coding is her real passion. She's worked with Lonely Planet, Atlassian,ThoughtWorks and Expedia and was CTO of a startup accepted into Telstra's Muru-D program. When not coding her happy place is under the sea - she's a qualified scuba diving instructor. 

Megan Dell (Head of UX, 99 Designs)

Megan is 99 Designs ' Head of UX'. Born and raised in a small coastal town in Victoria, she moved to Melbourne in 2002 to follow her dreams of a creative career. Megan cut her teeth in the field of user experience almost 10 years ago working at Suncorp, designing online forms for Australia’s largest personal insurance brands. After a sojourn into agency-land where she also worked as a UI designer, Megan is back working client-side at 99 Designs as Head of UX. When she’s not working, you can find her outside doing something active, or at home in her art studio.

Victoria Schiffer (Agile Coach, SEEKjobs)

As the Agile Coach at SEEK I work with many passionate people and teams. We all share the purpose of helping people live more fulfilling and productive working lives and to help organisations succeed. We follow Lean principles as well as Scrum and Kaban.I love great teams, Agile Software Development & everything related to Professional Coaching! I'm a Melbourne based Agile mind with a strong technical background through seven years of experience working in different roles in the IT and the new media industry. My focus is always on the customer as well as the team building the functionality for the customer. My positive attitude creates an atmosphere of possibility and growth for my teammates and other co-workers.

MC for the evening: Stephanie BySouth (Business Agility, Leadership & Innovation, SEEK)


Stephanie has over 20 years leading and serving businesses in digital investments, product delivery and business agility across realestate, banking and telcos. 

Stephanie leverages her leadership career with a passion for genuine conversations to coach @ SEEK.

Panel members will take questions from the audience after/during the discussion. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------


In order to ensure that everyone who RSVPs comes along, we are charging a small fee for the event. This is non-refundable and all the sales from the tickets will go toward running future events and to the charities which we support. However, if anyone of you is not able to pay for it due to personal circumstances, please let us know. You can get a ticket for free. The tickets are limited, so please get your spot as soon as possible.

Male members are always welcome in our events too.
