SYNOPSIS:

Did you know that modern smartphones are millions of times more powerful than the Apollo 11 Guidance Computer used by NASA?

What will we do with computers in design as they get smaller?

Hear about today's IoT innovations and where it's all going at our Designing for IoT panel discussion hosted by SOLDER - The new Prototyping Lab in Perth's CBD.

Speakers:

Simon Vincent

Co-Founder & Director, Newton Labs

Founded in 2014 following an inaugural win at Australia's first open-innovation event for mining and resources, Newton Labs successfully demonstrated their ability to use connected sensors and data analytics to detect oversize material in the back of haul trucks before taking out the WA Innovator of the Year award in 2015. They're now trialling and deploying their IoT system across major mining operations around the world

The Internet of Everything (IoE) extends the scope of the IoT with 3 additional dimensions: Data, People, Process.  This group is the Western Australian chapter of the Internet of Everything Community Network (ioecommunity.org). We are not only looking at technology implementation and real-life examples of IoE/IoT implementations, but also in
