"Designing for accessibility is hard!" We've all been that designer at some point on some project. With a proper understanding of accessibility we have the capability of making our designs reach a broader set of users. At the end of the night we will be raffling off 5 Use Contrast (https://usecontrast.com/) accounts. Be sure to get a ticket from me (Antonea) when you arrive so you have the chance of winning.

What's on this evening?

Designer news: Once again we will run through whats haute in our industry, any new tips/tools as well as where to find some great design inspiration.

Speakers:
Sam Sibley - Head of Design @ Clemenger DDBO Brisbane
Topic: Project Share - Sam will be walking us through one of the companies latest web projects that is striving with AA compliancy and how it's effected/changed the way his team designs. Kevin Galvin - Principal Consultant @
me2 (Accessibility Consultancy)
Topic: Designing for the vision spectrum - How can you make sure your designs accommodate people with vision impairments ranging from colour-blindness and low vision, through to age-related vision loss and conditions like macular degeneration? Kevin will share experience-based principles, WCAG techniques and real-world examples to ensure designs are equally accessible to all customers, including those with a range of vision impairments.

Mingling: After our speakers you will have the opportunity to chat with everyone who's come out while having some nibbles and a few drinks. Thanks to Just Digital People for letting us use their space and providing us with drinks!
