Deploying Multi-OS applications with Docker Swarm

Presented by Mike Coleman, Technology Evangelist at Docker

With the release of overlay networking for Windows Server 2016 it's now possible to build swarms comprised of both Windows and Linux hosts, giving operators a single platform for managing a diverse range of applications. In this hands-on workshop we'll build a multi-os swarm and then use features like constraints and affinities to place Windows, Linux, and hybrid workloads appropriately. All attendees will be provided a set of cloud instances on which to work, all you need to bring is a laptop with an SSH client. This workshop lasts about 90 minutes.

After turning off of Jefferson on to Alla Road, there is free street parking at the first right Coral Tree Place. From there you can enter the Reserve business park at the Gate 1 main entry which is the gate near the end of the road, or via a pedestrian entrance near gate 2. If the street parking is full, no problem. Park in the lot and we will validate you.

Space 900 is the large building that is closest to the Gate 1 main entry.

If you can carpool, please do!

Special thanks to Verizon Digital Media for hosting this meet up! Check out the engineering blog for details on cool things happening at Verizon.
